About me

I worked for 15 years in TV and Film production at Granada Television in Manchester, initially as a Senior Graphic Designer servicing programmes such as 'World in Action', 'Prime Suspect', 'Cracker' and 'Blue Murder.' Laterly as a sponsorship and commercials director. This work required me to design, storyboard and direct pre-programme sponsorship campaigns and commercials for ITV.

Drawing and storyboarding has always been a strength and I was utilised heavily by the ITV drama department, particularly for visualising difficult and costly 'stunt' sequences like car chases/crashes and pyrotechnical scenes.

Before becoming freelance I worked with Peter Kay directing 2nd unit camera and supervised SFX for him on 'Max & Paddy's road to nowhere', which was good fun!

From thereon I've worked as a 'gun for hire' storyboarding feature films and TV programmes including stunt sequences for dramas such as 'Tina & Bobby' (ITV) 'Snatch' (Netflix) 'Walk Like A Panther' (Fox) 'Tolkien' (Fox Searchlight) 'Brassic' (Sky) 'Creeped Out' (CBBC) and Cobra (Sky).

I'm also a director and have shot several music videos for Richard Hawley and Lisa Stansfield and done DVD doc interviews with Paul Carrack, Errol Brown and The Dresden Dolls.

I've worked with the legendary 'Chuckle Brothers' directing some sketches for their Christmas DVD's and wrote, produced and directed 3 episodes of the BBC's award winning children's programme 'Prank Patrol' for CBBC.

In 2014 I directed my first feature film, 'Soldiers of the Damned'  now represented by LA based feature film agents VMI Worldwide Films. It was released and sold internationally in August 2015.

Presently doing storyboard work for TV dramas and feature films as well as working on my latest movie scripts..
